Featured Interview: Sergey Kolesnik

Q. Let's start from the beginning - how did your journey as a 3D artist begin?

A. I started 3D modeling in 1996 - in 3D Studio DOS.

Q. When is the first time you made money as an artist?

A. I started working as a 3D artist via the Internet in 2005 on casual projects.

Q. As a freelancer, aside from producing good art, what is your best tip for success?

A. In my case I do a lot of quality work at an affordable low price. Now there are a lot of people who want to buy 3D models for 3D printing. It's all about high sales volumes.

Q. Vodka or Water?

A. Water hot tea, coffee :) I live in the far north of Russia and it's very cold here. I'll freeze, can't be drunk on the street :)))))))))

Q. What is the biggest feature 3D printing doesn't have yet that you are looking forward to?

A. Low cost cheapness . 3D printing is still expensive for many people...

Q. What's your big project for the next 5 years?

A. Create a large series of 3D toys for all ages from young children to teenagers.
