Giraffe Masai Fur Rigged Soft: Maya 2017 | Arnold 1.3.0.0

High detailed realistic giraffe model. Rare Masai version!

Clean UVmapped, professional textured and rigged. Based on high quality sculpting and best references. Smoothable mesh with quads mostly. Mouth is openable and have all inside stuff. Fur, mane, tail and so on made by Maya XGen and also available as curves. Hooves, eyes, gum, teeth and tongue are separated meshes.

Scene is ready to render with Arnold render to have the same result as on thumbnails.

POLYCOUNT: 33735 (polygons)

Mesh is quad based mainly with less count of triangles, smoothable and clean. Body mesh is 22880 polygons. All other meshes (hooves, eyeballs, mouth, teeth) is 10855 polygons.

RIG NOTES:

This model is rigged using ikHandles and NURBS primitive control objects with a bit of options like fetlock, toe roll and so (can be founded in channelbox). The rig in scalable. Control objects can be manipulated through the transform tools to achieve desired pose or animations. Full rig description available to free download in Additional Files section.

*There is two body meshes: 1. First body mesh with XGen descriptions. 2. Second body mesh without descriptions but skinned. First one is driven by BlendShape, assigned from the second one. To avoid slow posing you can hide mesh with descriptions and work with rigged one.

FUR and HAIR

Made with Maya 2017 XGen. For better quality you can increase fur or hair primitives count in XGen description and AA count in render settings.

There is 5 differnt hair systems. -Fur and Vibriss as groomable splines. -Mane, Tail, Eyelashes as Guides based groom. (Guides as curves in Additional download files)

All 5 hair systems also available as curves in download section (GiraffeADD.rar) in .ma and .FBX formats. Also in GiraffeADD.rar there is textures for fur, like color, density and displacement (product use little fur offset by texture).

(Fur of body and mane have Groom Bake modifer for better performance. If you want to edit this descriptions, don’t forget to turn it off and choose in generate primitives – randomly acroos the surface)

LIGHT RELATIONSHIPS

-Ground plane is not affected by light: BackLight because of specific location. -There is 3 additional sources of lighting in scene called SkyLight1/2/3, affecting only for eyes.

You can change this, if you want, in In Relationship Editors > Light Linking.

Renders with posed giraffe are made just for testing purpose. The actual model comes in the standard pose. Signature preview pose included in separated maya file. NO PLUG-IN needed! NO POSTWORK on this renders.
