Welcome to the Advanced Systematic Anime Painting tutorial. If you are having difficulty with your finished level of paint for your anime or comic styled characters then this is the tutorial for you. Starting from the traditional Color Flats method, I have developed a more robust way of using "multiply layers" to ease the color choice process of digital painting without your colors looking flat in the end. Which ultimately requires additional adjustments, paint over, and other added work later on to fix the flat and dull color issue.

I will walk you through my process and create six character variants from one singular base to show you how powerful this method is for not just the illustration process, but conceptual reiteration as well.
