Forest Kit Models And Maps

In fantasy scenes there are elements that use to appear in all illustrations and 3D scenes, games, and even movies. We have gathered the most typical ones in a small set that you can use in your 3D works or illustrations.

This product contains a kit of 5 trees, each one of them with 3d models in different resolutions and maps, so you can use them both in Zbrush and any other 3D applications:

  • A gnarly tree that is perfect for fantasy scenes, old forests, and creepy themes.
  • A hollow stump that can be used as a house for a fantasy creature or the hiding place of a forest animal, or a decorative element that adds a mistery touch to your nature scenes, or a place to hide treasures in games and adventures.
  • A fallen tree that has curvature so depending on how you place it, it can be a bridge over a river or a chasm, or use it to sit a character, or hide them below it, or be a fallen tree in a forest or the hide-out of a warrior ready to ambush someone.
  • An old tree that has been deformed by the wind, and can be perfect as a crossroads sign, trees in dark scenes, or fantasy forests.
  • A piece of trunk that can work for sitting characters, be carried by a lumberjack or a strong individual, or even thrown at a warriors fight.

The product contains these files:

  • Zbrush Tool (.ZTL) of each tree, that contains a UV mapped tree with several levels of resolution, and all the details in Layers. With this, you are able to export it at the resolution that you need, use the details as they are, or use the Morph brush to remove the parts you don't like, modify them, or sculpt your own (for example using our Tree Maker product). You can also create your own maps if you like, or directly polypaint these models, and make your textures, because the bump and normal maps and the UV mapping is already done.

  • OBJs for any 3D application: the OBJs for the trees come in several versions: basemesh, low poly, medium poly, and high poly. High poly is perfect for sculpting. Medium poly would be good for some rendering applications that don't support higher polycounts. Low poly is game ready and for realtime use like VR. The basemesh is the simplest but very powerful base model. You can use these basemeshes to build your own trees, or use the basemeshes with their normal and displacement/bump maps included in this product, so when rendered the 3D model looks almost the same as the high poly one, but with a great gain in speed.

  • Normal and Displacement maps (also work as bump maps): All maps come in these file formats: PSD, TIFF, BMP, and JPG. You can open PSD with Photoshop and GIMP, BMP and TIFF and JPG with any other application. The JPG are also perfect for low requirements. All the maps also come in flipped version too, in case that your 3D application uses to flip the maps when you load them, so you don't have to flip them yourself.

A great must have kit for many of your 3d works!
