Steampunk Engine – Full Production Workflow

https://youtu.be/B1n9RospMlA?si=L489V_-Gk7C950SA Five years ago, I released my original Steampunk Engine tutorial, and over the years many artists supported my work by purchasing that course and following my journey.

Because of that support, I decided to release this brand-new version completely free for previous customers.

This is not just an update to the old tutorial — it is a completely rebuilt project created from scratch using modern workflows, updated techniques, and a production-ready pipeline.

This tutorial focuses on creating a detailed steampunk game asset from start to finish, covering the entire process from modeling to final presentation and Unreal Engine integration.

The Unreal Engine package also includes ready-to-use meshes, textures, and materials. Simply add the provided files into your Unreal Engine Content folder to start using the asset immediately.

In addition to the new tutorial, the original legacy version of the Steampunk Engine tutorial is also included and remains available for download under the “OldSteampunk” files.

The package also includes project files and ready-to-use assets for a smoother workflow and easier study process.

Throughout the course, you will learn professional workflows for:

Hard Surface Modeling in Blender 4.5

UV Unwrapping using RizomUV / Unfold

    Advanced Texturing in Substance Painter

    Cinematic Rendering in Blender 5

Importing and Preparing Assets for Unreal Engine 5.7

    Materials and Texture Setup

    Collision Creation

    Lightmap UVs

    Baking Workflow

    Texel Density

    Troubleshooting Common Material Issues

    Final Color Adjustments and Presentation

The modeling, UV, texturing, and rendering sections are suitable for both beginner and advanced artists, while the Unreal Engine section mainly focuses on beginner-friendly workflows and asset integration techniques.

This is an older tutorial but the core workflow is still fully relevant. It’s been one of our long-time bestsellers
