It is a dioecious tree where the flowers of the female specimens look different from the male ones. The female flowers consist of a 10-20 cm long, dense, fluffy, candle-like yellow-green panicle. The panicle of the male flowers is larger and thinner. The leaves of Rhus typhina Dissecta can grow up to 50 cm in length and are unevenly sprung.
