French Nail Trench Knife (Original version). French Nails were locally fabricated and converted bayonets, knives and stabbing weapons for use in the First World War. This is the original version. The handle was made by bending the post to form a knuckle guard. The blade is double-edged, flattened to form a robust piercing point with a prominent medial rib.
