Creating Alphas in ZBrush

In this series of video tutorials, we will explore the creation of alphas for use within ZBrush sculpting and detailing.

We will first create custom alphas in Photoshop using basic tools, then move onto ZBrush where we will use this alpha to generate geometry, before sculpting on top of this geometry and exporting it out as a high poly mesh.

We will then be ready to create our low poly geometry and bake the texture maps in xNormal.

The final video will explore the creation of alphas directly in ZBrush as an alternative workflow method, and how to export those out into other programs.
